Head of Quality Assurance (Food Wholesale Distribution) (all genders)
Job Description
Your tasks:
- Support integration of the latest acquisitions and new entities into METRO Quality Management System.
- Support and assistance in the implementation of METRO QA Standards and Policies in Food Service Distribution (FSD) companies and local QA projects
- Support METRO entities and FSD Companies with trainings, guidelines and technical knowledge on various Quality and Food Safety topics within Multichannel operations of METRO.
- Manage a cluster of FSD companies and countries as a functional leader (setting up the right local QA organization, reviewing and aligning QA objectives, follow up on implementation of the main QA projects, crisis management, etc.).
- Maintain, update and continually improve the Quality Management System standards and guidelines related to Food Safety Distribution and other QA operations within Multichannel business of METRO.
- Conduct assessment & audits across different entities of METRO.
- The role requires regular international business travel, including multi-country trips within Asia.
Qualifications
- Proven min. 5 years of experience in QA operations, with a strong background in managing QA processes and developing and implementing Quality Management Systems.
- Excellent technical knowledge of food quality and safety, including HACCP and PRP principles.
- Excellent knowledge and experience with International Food Safety and Quality Standards
- Experience in auditing as external or internal audit
- Strong ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders and senior management.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving, presentation and report-writing skills.
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong ownership and accountability, with the ability to independently drive multiple topics from planning through implementation and follow-up in a changing environment.
- Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to develop clear recommendations and take sound decisions.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining appropriate stakeholder alignment and management visibility, together with strong ability to work cross-functionally.
- Self-motivated, determined and confident in representing own professional position and area of responsibility.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
